Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 lb spaghetti (break in half)

  • 3 cups chicken stock (beef stock or water works too!)

  • 1 jar pasta sauce (26 oz)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, cubed

  • 1/4 cup Parmesan grated cheese

  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

  • Turn Instant Pot to ‘saute’. Add ground beef, break up the beef with a spatula and brown the meat. Try not to let the meat stick to the bottom so keep moving it around. You can carefully remove the inner pot and drain the excess grease.
  • Add the spices (Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper). Stir them in with the meat.
  • Add chicken stock (or beef stock or water, depending on what you have), add the jar of pasta sauce, then add the spaghetti (break spaghetti in half before adding). Push the pasta down with your spatula so it is under the liquid.
  • Put the lid of the Instant Pot on, seal the valve, then set it to ‘manual high’ for 6 minutes. When it’s done, do a quick pressure release (just turn the sealing valve so it lets out the pressure), then take the lid off once the pressure is released.
  • Stir everything together, then add the cubed cream cheese and stir into the spaghetti. Add Parmesan cheese and stir in. You can also add Parmesan to sprinkle on top of spaghetti.

Notes

  • If you don’t have Italian seasoning, you can use dried basil and dried oregano.
  • Substitute for ground beef: ground turkey, ground chicken, or to make it vegetarian, just leave out the meat!
  • You can also leave out the cream cheese if you don’t want it creamy.
